Rising 1500 meters above sea level on the Titiwangsa mountain range in Peninsular Malaysia is Fraser’s Hill. Named after a solitary Scottish pioneer, James Fraser, who created a box of ore position in the 1890s, it actually consists of seven hills. Fraser’s Hill is truly an idyllic place for one hour to rest and not to escape the heat and humidity, but also the life of city life. It is perhaps the prettiest of the Malaysian Hill resorts.
To get to Fraser’s Hill, from the gap, we need to backtrack a narrow and winding, the road-way to 8 km. Traffic upstream and downstream is controlled by a portal system with the rise of traffic limited to odd hours and the descent of the movement, even hours.
There are hotels, resorts and chalets on the hill. Tudor cottages sit among brilliantly colored gardens shaded by pine trees high.
Fraser’s Hill is popular with locals and foreign tourists for its greenery, forest walks, fresh air and exotic flower gardens, not forgetting the golf equipment. It has many attractions in and around the area. There is an education center in nature where visitors can learn about the fauna and flora of the region. Bird watching is a very popular pastime and Fraser’s Hill is the site of annual bird attracting many foreign omithologists.
